You’ll sleep better knowing your electrical system meets current safety standards. No more wondering if that flickering light or outdated panel is putting your family in danger.
Code violations aren’t just paperwork problems. They’re safety hazards that can lead to fires, electrocution, or expensive fines when you try to sell your home. When we bring your electrical system up to code, you’re protecting what matters most.
Your insurance company will thank you too. Many policies require code-compliant electrical work, and updated systems often qualify for lower premiums.
We’ve been solving critical electrical problems for Cicero homeowners since 1999. We’re licensed, bonded, and insured because your safety isn’t negotiable.
While other companies chase every type of job, we focus on what we do best: residential electrical emergencies and code compliance. When your power goes out at 9 PM or you smell something burning, we’re the team that shows up ready to work.
We know Cicero’s older homes and the unique challenges they present. From knob-and-tube wiring to overloaded panels, we’ve seen it all and know how to fix it right.
First, we inspect your current electrical system and identify any code violations or safety concerns. No surprises, no hidden problems discovered halfway through the job.
Next, we explain exactly what needs to be updated and why. You’ll understand which violations are safety hazards versus simple paperwork issues, so you can make informed decisions about priorities.
Then we complete the work efficiently, pulling proper permits and scheduling inspections. You won’t have to deal with the bureaucracy – we handle the paperwork so you can focus on your family.

Illinois follows the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), with the Illinois Electrical Code 2020 based on the NFPA 70, 2020. Local cities can adopt editions of the current National Electrical Code, which means Cook County adds specific requirements that affect your home.
Many Cicero homes built before 1990 have wiring that no longer meets current standards. If your current wiring does not meet local codes, only new work must be up to code, however if there is old wiring that is unsafe, you are required to change it.
Common code violations we fix include inadequate grounding systems, overloaded panels, missing GFCI protection in bathrooms and kitchens, and aluminum wiring that needs updating. These aren’t just technical details – they’re safety issues that put your family at risk.
